Winter Weather Update

21 Jan by Seth Dover

Good afternoon,

Based on current forecasts, there is a possibility of severe winter weather this Saturday and into next week. I will be closely monitoring conditions and how they may affect all basketball games scheduled for the weekend, as well as next week’s playoff schedule.

With the potential for unsafe travel, I am already preparing a contingency plan so that, if games need to be postponed, we can still ensure every game is played and that playoffs can be completed before the season concludes with our Winter Sports Banquet on February 7th.

Please keep in mind that, even with this weekend’s games and next week’s playoffs currently on the calendar, schedules are always subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control. When weather becomes a factor, decisions sometimes must be made quickly and may not always align with what is most convenient.

I kindly ask for your patience as I work through these possibilities and determine the best course of action for everyone involved. My goal is always to prioritize safety while honoring the time and commitment of our families, coaches, and players—and to communicate any changes as clearly and effectively as possible.

I will make a final announcement on Friday regarding this weekend’s games. If cancellations become necessary, I plan to share the full contingency plan on Monday, Lord willing. Please note that this will not affect games currently scheduled for Thursday evening; those, along with Friday evening practices, will continue as planned.

Thank you all for being so gracious and flexible throughout this season. Your cooperation and support have made it possible for this league to run smoothly, and I am truly grateful.

Grace & Peace,
Seth Dover
